The extent of improvements over the previous model is nothing short of amazing:
- A brand new silent drive mechanism transfers all your push directly to the wheels, no more flex or lost power.
- An optimised gearing gives great performance on all terrain types, but also allows for other gears to be used if desired.
- New dynamic suspension gives this version unparalleled comfort and control, smoothly riding over obstacles and drops whilst allowing fast safe turns.
- A reduced width to 74cm means the Trike can now fit through most doorways.
- A new drive disengagement mechanism makes reverse so easy and available at the twist of a widget.
- A new moulded back rest cushion gives much improved comfort and also holds the rider in the seat when going round corners.
- A lift up footrest allows wheelchair users to get close to the Trike for an easy transfer.
- A folding seat back and rear wheel ‘cube’ the Trike for easy transport, or if space is severely restricted the whole thing can be separated into three easy to handle subassemblies.
- New improved anti-tip front wheels do away with the old plastic flymo wheels.
- All new parking brakes and chain guards give complete peace of mind.
But work doesn’t stop here! We are now hard at work developing braking controls for riders with reduced finger control and one armed users, as well as a child’s version.
We hope that by making the Mk3 available to buy very soon, we will finally be able to fulfil our dream of getting more people outdoors!
