Big Big News!
Like a proud parent at the end of term... the report cards are in!
We have just received word that our brave Mountain Trike prototype has passed all the tests it needed for approval as a medical product in the UK and Europe and has now grown up.
These are some of the hardest physical tests any wheelchair has to face and are designed to simulate a lifetimes worth of use. We even increased their difficulty by subjecting the Trike to even greater impacts and bumps than standard! We are so excited to have passed and that all our efforts can now start to go to the people who need them.
In other news...
Particularly over the last few months, when people first started asking us how much the Trike would cost, we had been saying a figure of between £4,000 and £5,000.
As we have finalised the design we got a clearer idea of how much the Trike would cost to make, and through a rethink on our distribution plan, we have managed to bring the price down considerably. And here is how and why…
Tim, Johnny and I believe passionately in the Mountain Trike and the people we have met through it have just blown us away with their enthusiasm and support. The higher price just didn’t seem right, the cake tasted bad. Our fans and friends deserve the best possible product at the best possible price.
We want to be able to know the first names of every customer, to share their joy and their pain and listen to their views. So you will now be able to buy the Mountain Trike directly from us, without the need for the mark up of a dealer.
Selling directly to our customers is a huge step away from the traditional world of wheelchair selling and results in a saving of almost £800!! This gives us a fantastic new price of £3,995 for a Trike, no hidden costs, extra fees or secret clauses, just the beautifully simple what you want is what you get.
Although it’s never that simple and for this to work well, we have to rely on you; our friends and customers, wherever in the world you may be, to come together, spread the word and look after each other. The Trike is very easy to maintain, but if things go wrong please tell us straight away and we will do all we can to help, but just in case it’s always great to have a friend nearby who can lend a hand.
We are now in the fantastic and exciting position of starting to take deposits for the first Trikes hot off the production line. If you would like a demo we would love to hear from you and hope that you too will join us in the Mountain Trike revolution!
